Kick Off Thanksgiving with the 32nd Annual Turkey Trot 5K in Huntsville
Thanksgiving morning in the Tennessee Valley wouldn’t be complete without one beloved tradition—the 32nd Annual Turkey Trot 5K, hosted by Crisis Services of North Alabama. This family-friendly event brings neighbors, friends, and visitors together for a fun morning of movement, gratitude, and community support at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, 205 Spragins Hall.
Whether you’re running for a personal record, walking with family, pushing a stroller, or simply soaking in the festive energy, everyone is welcome. The race is chip-timed for accurate results, and the USATF-certified course is the same route used for the popular HTC Twilight Run.
Even the littlest members of the family can join the fun at the Tiny Tot Turkey Trot—a free 100-yard dash for children 5 and under, complete with a larger-than-life turkey mascot cheering them on.
Beyond the finish line, participants can enjoy door prizes, community connection, and the joy of supporting a meaningful cause. All proceeds help Crisis Services of North Alabama provide critical support for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and individuals in emotional crisis.
